We are pleased to present Fan LaVada Humphrey, the focus of our Hairitage Stories series. Her hair journey started in childhood, with weekly hair pressing rituals. However, an incident in high school made her question this routine. Come 2011, she realized her hair's texture is integral to her identity. This led her to break from societal expectations and embrace her natural curls. Today, she confidently owns her heritage and hair, marking the start of her new journey, which we are excited to share with you.
