PuffCuff Secures 300k Funding Parntership with 1863 Ventures
We’ve done it again, curlfriend, and are proud to announce our new partnership with 1863 Ventures, which gives PuffCuff access to $300,000 in funding. 1863 Ventures, based in Washington D.C, is a leading business development non-profit for “New Majority Entrepreneurs-- Individuals who have been historically marginalized. We want to give a huge thank you to our supporters, investors, and customers who made our growth and journey possible. We couldn't have asked for a better present to celebrate our 8th year in the hair tools & accessories industry!
At PuffCuff, self-love and self-acceptance are our guiding principles. We aim to positively impact and influence the beauty and hair care industries through developing products for curly- and natural-haired customers who mainstream companies often overlook. We are pleased to have additional partners on this journey and grateful for the investment, mentorship and support of 1863 Ventures and its wonderful team.
“1863 Ventures is proud to support PuffCuff as an emerging, high-growth company. Historically, the beauty industry has fallen short in offering Black and Brown customers hair care products that promote hair health and consider the intricacies of thick, curly, and tight-textured hair. Ceata Lash’s ingenuity of the PuffCuff is a testament to the innovation teeming among New Majority entrepreneurs. She is the first African American woman to own three patents for a natural hair accessory, and the simplicity of her tool provides an accessible haircare solution for all women of color.” - Melissa Bradley, Founder and Managing Partner, 1863 Ventures.
This news comes on the cusp of PuffCuff’s 8 year birthday, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate another year of providing the hair industry with tools for thick, curly, and textured hair. We are exceedingly grateful for the support we’ve received over the last 8 years and for all of those who believed in our mission.
